Okay – almost complete! The world of Fitness and Health blogs is big. Very big. And there is a ton of variety among blogs.
Whether you are sharing your journey of weight loss, using a blog to market your personal training business, like to share healthy recipes, or you are just a fanatic about running, you’re in good company with many other fitness & health bloggers sharing their stories.
We have been tracking fitness & health blogs for several years and have seen many come and go. While this list is nowhere near complete, we’re working on creating as complete a list and possible, and we have decided to share our list with our readers in an effort to build on the list and promote the world of fitness & health blogging.
We are working on a better solution on how to feature this list (making it searchable), but for now, we are publishing a list of 1200+ fitness and health blogs for you to review and share.
Fitness & Health Blogs of North America (updated 9.24.2013)
We’ll be adding a list of industry blogs, press blogs, and international blogs soon.

thank you for this list, I like it
Cool list! Thank you so much for compiling it, it will be very helpful
Is it too late to submit my blog?
Great list, by the way!
Hi Tracey,
We will try and update the list at least 1x per week, so not to late!! I see you’ve submitted your blog, so it will be up there soon! thank you!
I was really excited to see this list since I am always looking for inspiration from others. Unfortunately after looking at the first 16 blogs on the list, I realized that the list was not vetted and that makes it a little bit less than useless. In the first 16, 3 are no longer active, one is no longer about fitness or health and 4 haven’t been updated since fall of last year so they are essentially inactive.
Sorry you don’t feel like this list is useful. We actually went through each and every one and removed over 750 off our list that have not been updated since last summer. That took an incredible amount of time for us. This is not a for-profit venture; we simply scoured the web and found as many relevant blogs as we could to add. Many blogs evolve and change their focus, which we actually find fascinating. If someone still had a predominant focus on Fitness or Health, we kept them on the list, but we tried to remove any blogs who have changed focus completely.
Cindy, would you be the one to contact to update a blog I have listed? Formerly The Melissa Chronicles, now Melissa Running It. It redirects to my new site, but would like it updated nonetheless.
Thank you!
Hi Melissa,
yes – i’ll update your listing for you. It will be reflected online at our next update, which will happen by the end of the month. Thank you!
What an impressive and helpful list! Thank you so much for compiling this.
To make it searchable, a simple solution would be to set it up as a Google Spreadsheet and make it publicly viewable (but not publicly editable)… and then just share the URL!
Andrew,
We have experimented with that. You can put up Google Docs in two ways – via their website or imbedded in ours. We prefer the latter but Google Docs seems to have a bug that ends up showing ALL the data (like email addresses, which we want to keep private) even when you select only certain columns. So this is a temporary step until that bug is fixed, since we prefer the list to remain on our site.

Have you considered using Listly to compile your lists? For example, I made a listly list (quite pretty if I do say do) of Health Related Blogs for Boom Chicka Boomers. Take a look and see whether it might work for you too. Free. I have no affiliation with them, just know it’s a good and easy way to create searchable lists. http://list.ly/list/1qz-fitness-and-health-blogs-for-boomchickaboomers?feature
We will check it out, Kymberly. Thanks for the heads up.
