The 2012 Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference ended on Sunday but there are still hundreds of Tweets about the conference. Throughout the weekend, Twitter was on fire with information coming from the attendees. In fact, during at least two occasions FHBC12 was the second leading “trending” item on Twitter.
Bloggers Kymberly and Alexandra from Fun and Fit do a tracking of Twitter results on both Saturday and Sunday of the conference and came up with these numbers. From Saturday, there had been 1,500 Tweets in the preceding 24 hours with over three million impressions reaching 346,000 people.
On Sunday, the results were approximately the same and it is possible this service only tracks the most recent 1,500 Tweets, meaning the number and reach was actually even higher.
As one speaker said during the conference (paraphrasing from memory), “As individual bloggers, you might not have that much influence. As a group of fitness and health bloggers when you work together, you have amazing influence.”
We will also collect and tally the number of posts that come out of the conference. Please leave a comment below with the URL of any of your posts – pre, during, or post-conference.
Go fitness bloggers!

Hashtracking counts the most recent 24 hours from whenever you ask it to generate a report (as opposed to every 1500 tweets, for instance). So to get a cumulative idea of tweets, impressions, etc, you would want to grab a report and screen shot about the same time each day, then add up the numbers for a multi-day event such as yours. Hashtracking.com Hope that helps! Link to our first post is also above in my sister’s comment. http://funandfit.org/2012/06/3-excuses-you-can-use-when-mountain-hiking/
I just can’t stop tweeting about this wonderful experience and letting others in the community know they were mentioned and missed too. Excited to see the miniature version of my picture in the tweet shot above. Here’s my first post from the conference. http://www.thelighterperspective.com/five-ways-to-make-your-wellness-well-rounded/
Wow, those are some impressive stats! Go team!
